I cannot install a software on my server, which never happened to me before. It keeps says the system Administrator has set policies to prevent this installation. It is a msi file and i cannot run it as administrator.
I tried to turn off User account control by setting to "never notify" and it also does not help.
How can I fix it and enable the installation?
Thank you!

You're not going to be able to get a good answer to this question for a few reasons, and maybe you can correct this. This looks like you're a user that is trying to subvert an administrator's access policies. If that's not the case and you actually are either the sole administrator of this service, or at least an administrator that "should" have that level of access, you need to make that clear. Second, you haven't provided any policy configuration that might give a clue as to why this is happening.

  • I guess I am the sole administrator of this service as I am the only user of this server. I am a noob in using it. i have installed a few software and didn't have any issue. Do you have any idea what should I do to fix it? If you need any more info please let me know.
