I have restricted the usage of USB Pen drive in my windows domain environment. Recently we discovered the usage of 01 unauthorised pen drive on our domain PCs. It was observed that registry entry in USBSTOR is being automatically generated at differrent times despite the fact that usb was kept in secure custody and not being used across the domain. Is it possible that usb pen dive usage entries are getting replicated in USBSTOR registry automatically in windows domain ?
Under what circumstances a usb entry in USBSTOR will automatically be generated without actually inserting the pendrive on PCs?
