Seeking solution to protect both Confluence and Jira with Google Authenticator 2FA
Integrating Jira and Confluence with OpenSSOProblems with setting up JIRA/ConfluenceGit github not working with google authenticator OSXHow can I install multiple Atlassian applications in a single server?Configure Jira & Confluence together with BoncodeJira/Confluence hogging memory with lots of processesJira and Confluence remote issue No route to hostGoogle Authenticator PAM on SSH blocks root login without 2FAGoogle-authenticator with openvpn - AUTH: Received control message: AUTH_FAILEDChange username in Jira and Confluence
I want to be able to protect our on-premise Jira and Confluence installs with Google Authenticator for 2 factor authentication. I figured this would be simple. I Googled, and I searched on the Atlassian Marketplace, and I was hopeful. A number of matches popped up. But NO. I could find no good solution. I'm wondering if someone can point out some solution that I've missed.
What I thought was the obvious solution was the 2FA plugin for Jira. It does just what I want. But there doesn't seem to be an equivalent plugin for Confluence. We administer our logins in Jira for both Jira and Confluence, so I thought maybe this was OK. I downloaded the plugin, played with it on Jira, and it was PERFECT. But then I go over to Confluence, and the same account that requires 2FA in Jira logs in without it on Confluence. And again, this solution doesn't seem to offer a plugin for Confluence.
All other solutions I can find seem to require the use of their own custom mobile app and/or service that you have to sign up for. I don't want to require my users to install another app. We use GA. I want to use GA to gate access to both Jira and Confluence.
Can someone point me to a solution that I've missed that allows Google Authenticator protection for my on-premise Jira and Confluence installations?
